The most valuable assets of the company are generally not "recognized" as these assets are intangible and as such are not capable of being captured into the balance sheet of the company. These valuable assets are the lives, souls and faces of the company - employees and without them there would be no use for the tangible assets of the company.

The success and failure of many companies are basically dependent on the ability of management to mobilize these human resources at their disposal to achieve the objectives of the organization. This would include drawing out the potentials of each employee and to develop the required skills to enhance their performance.
