Performance Workshop: Implementing the Key Performance IndicatorsPosted Date : 10 Sep 09
INTRODUCTION
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) enable an organisation to define and measure progress towards its organisational goals. KPIs are quantifiable measurements that reflect the critical success factors of an organisation. For the KPIs to be of any value, they have to be accurately defined and measured.
How do you measure an organisation’s success? How does the organisation measure the contribution of every section or division towards its ultimate success? What factors are critical towards its goal achievement?
Organisations have come to realise, particularly in these trying economic times, that the alignment of KPIs with organisation vision, mission, strategies and objectives is the key to realising bottom-line impact.
The challenge is to develop KPIs that provide a holistic and balanced view of the business, combining traditional financial and non-financial measures.
