Our Team Listed in alphabetical order Gerard R Sankar Gerard holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a Diploma in HR Management. He also attended GE’s Human Resource Program for Asia Pacific in In his 28 years as a Human Resource and Industrial Relations Practitioner, Gerard served at various times in major multinational and locally incorporated manufacturing companies in Johor. From 1994 – 2006, he was the Human Resource/Administration Manager of a multinational company in Johor Bahru and after that formed Gerard & Associates Sdn. Bhd., a Human Resource/Industrial Relations Consulting and Training Company. His experience covers the entire spectrum of Human Resource, Industrial Relations and Administration Management. He has also successfully represented various companies in labor and industrial relations arbitration as well as leading the management team in Collective Bargaining negotiations. Gerard currently consults for multinational and local organizations. They include companies listed in the Since 1991, Gerard has served as an elected Committee Member of the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) Johor, and a Vice-Chairman since 1997. He has been elected successively as the Southern Region Chairman of the Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF) since 1997 and sits in the MEF Industrial Relations Panel. He serves as a Panel Member (Employer) of the Industrial Court of Malaysia (third term), and as an Assessor in the Appellate Board of SOCSO (second term).
He has consulted and conducted training extensively on strategic management, marketing management, motivational management, quality auditing, TQM, SPC, TQC Tools, FMEA, Advance Product Quality Planning & Control Plan (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Seven QC Tools, Seven Management Tools, continuous improvement program (KAIZEN) using Six Sigma Methodology (DMAIC). Mr Selvaraj is a practising accountant with 35 years of experience and has spent considerable time in auditing and assurance, internal audit and risk management, taxation and corporate secretarial services. He is presently a Partner of The Omar Arif group practice which comprises of 3 medium sized long established firms of chartered accountants in His wide range of experience includes corporate restructuring, cross border tax issues, including setting up of tax effective companies in Labuan and Hong Kong, corporate financing, conducting corporate governance and risk management training for an established medical centre, hospital and school of nursing, a resort and an educational institution. He has been instrumental in setting up standard operating and control procedures and risk management for a long and well established 5-star Hotel in He is also actively involved with several Audit Committees of public listed companies on A keen follower in the area of development of financial reporting standards in Malaysia, he will effectively address the key areas in the Financial Reporting Standards ("FRS") and Private Entity Reporting Standards ("PERS") in the context of the Malaysian financial reporting framework. M. Jeyabalan served as an officer in the Trade Finance Department, in a leading commercial bank for almost 20 years, during which period he acquired an in-depth and extensive knowledge of import/export documentation. In addition to advising many companies on the preparation of documents relating to trade finance he was also involved in training employees of the bank in the management of Letters of Credit and other such documentation. He has on several occasions been called to the High Courts in In 1993 he left the services of the bank and was actively involved in advising various trading houses in He is currently a freelance and advises several companies on management of Letters of Credit transactions, trade finance and other related matters, in addition to providing training.
