Gerard R Sankar
BA

Gerard holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a Diploma in HR Management.  He also attended GE’s Human Resource Program for Asia Pacific in Beijing in 1994 and is a Certified PSMB Trainer. 

In his 28 years as a Human Resource and Industrial Relations Practitioner, Gerard  served at various times in major multinational and locally incorporated manufacturing companies in Johor.  From 1994 – 2006, he was the Human Resource/Administration Manager of a multinational company in Johor Bahru and after that formed Gerard & Associates Sdn. Bhd., a Human Resource/Industrial Relations Consulting and Training Company.

His experience covers the entire spectrum of Human Resource, Industrial Relations and Administration Management.  He has also successfully represented various companies in labor and industrial relations arbitration as well as leading the management team in Collective Bargaining negotiations. 

Gerard currently consults for multinational and local organizations. They include companies listed in the Malaysia and Singapore Stock Exchange.  Participants at his training programs have included employees from major manufacturing companies e.g Flextronics, VS Industry and Felda Oil Products. Others include organizations like Starbucks Coffee, Bonia, Seri Malaysia Hotel (Genting Highlands), Landmarks, MCSB Systems (Penang) and The Malaysian Medical Association.

Since 1991, Gerard has served as an elected Committee Member of the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) Johor, and a Vice-Chairman since 1997.  He has been elected successively as the Southern Region Chairman of the Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF) since 1997 and sits in the MEF Industrial Relations Panel.

He serves as a Panel Member (Employer) of the Industrial Court of Malaysia (third term), and as an Assessor in the Appellate Board of SOCSO (second term).


Johnny Ng
Ph D, MBA, BBA

Johnny Ng has a doctorate in Quality Management, and holds professional membership of the American Society for Quality, and American Institute of Management and is a certified Six Sigma Trainer (Black Belt). He has more than 20 years experience in the field of management, quality, manufacturing and marketing at senior management and board level.

He has consulted and conducted training extensively on strategic management, marketing management, motivational management, quality auditing, TQM, SPC, TQC Tools, FMEA, Advance Product Quality Planning & Control Plan (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Seven QC Tools, Seven Management Tools, continuous improvement program (KAIZEN) using Six Sigma Methodology (DMAIC). Among his many clients include Matsushita, Sharp Roxy, FA Tech, ACM Technology, MMI, Alliance Rubber, Precico Group, Feiti, Boon Koon Vehicles Industries, Dongkut Techno, Parade Manufacturing etc


 J Selvarajah
CA (M) CA (NZ) PNA(Aust) ATII B Com (Acc)

Mr Selvaraj is a practising accountant with 35 years of experience and has spent considerable time in auditing and assurance, internal audit and risk management, taxation and corporate secretarial services. He is presently a Partner of The Omar Arif group practice which comprises of 3 medium sized long established firms of chartered accountants in Kuala Lumpur

His wide range of experience includes corporate restructuring, cross border tax issues, including setting up of tax effective companies in Labuan and Hong Kong, corporate financing, conducting corporate governance and risk management training for an established medical centre, hospital and school of nursing, a resort and an educational institution.  He has been instrumental in setting up standard operating and control procedures and risk management for a long and well established 5-star Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

He is also actively involved with several Audit Committees of public listed companies on Bursa Malaysia in advising on Corporate Governance and carrying out their Internal Audit functions.

A keen follower in the area of development of financial reporting standards in Malaysia, he will effectively address the key areas in the Financial Reporting Standards ("FRS") and Private Entity Reporting Standards ("PERS") in the context of the Malaysian financial reporting framework.  He currently conducts intensive training for his firms' staff and other interested parties and assists his clients in the preparation of their financial statements in accordance with the FRS's and PERS's..


K C Chew
CA
(M) CPA (Aust) ATII

Mr. Chew is a Section 153 license holder. He has been in practice for more than 10 years, besides running his own practice, he also provide tax consultancy services to 4 accounting firms in the Klang Valley whose clients including listed companies on Bursa Malaysia. The clients are mainly cross sectional SME organizations but also include MNCs with OHQ status. He regularly advises clients on Malaysian taxation requirements and procedures as well as management issues.

Mr Chew has been facilitating seminars / workshops in taxation for corporate clients and as well as public programme.
     


M Jeyabalan

M. Jeyabalan served as an officer in the Trade Finance Department, in a leading commercial bank for almost 20 years, during which period he acquired an in-depth and extensive knowledge of import/export documentation. In addition to advising many companies on the preparation of documents relating to trade finance he was also involved in training employees of the bank in the management of Letters of Credit and other such documentation. He has on several occasions been called to the High Courts in Malaysia to give evidence on matters relating to disputes on Letters of Credit transactions.

In 1993 he left the services of the bank and was actively involved in advising various trading houses in Hong Kong on trade documentation. 

He is currently a freelance and advises several companies on management of Letters of Credit transactions, trade finance and other related matters, in addition to providing training.


Steven Liew
MBA Ph D FCMA CA (M)

Dr Steven Liew is a fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK and is a Chartered Accountant by profession. He has a Asia Pacific Executive MBA (for senior executives) from the National University of Singapore and a PhD in international finance with Rushmore University of USA.

Dr Liew had worked in private sector companies, ranging from family-run businesses to multi-national corporations in South Asia and the ASEAN region. He has accumulated more than 23 years working experience in senior financial & operational management positions spearheading the profitability and growth of companies.

Dr  Liew had conducted various seminars for corporate clientele including Association of Credit Management Malaysia, CIMA, MIM, MIA, IBBM, Nestle, IQPC Worldwide , Singapore, Proton Edar Malaysia, Brunei Investment Agency, SMIDEC, Ministry of Development, Brunei, BICPA Asean Management, Brunei,   International Paint;  RISDA,  Sales & Marketing Training  Forum, Sri Lanka . 

He is currently providing management consultancy and training specialising in credit management & loan recovery. Dr Liew also teaches courses in strategy, business and finance.


Mike KM Ng
FAIA, FPNA, CFP, MNCC

Mike has been engaged in the financial and corporate sector for more than 30 years. During these years, he has accumulated
extensive experience and skill sets in management accounting, financial planning and management, corporate consulting, internal audit, company secretarial practice, taxation, credit control and risk management implementation for all levels of organizations.

His initial involvement in training commenced as early as 1975 when he was lecturing in curriculum for working adults in the educational institutions viz. Goon Institute, Goon Computer & Management Studies Center and Informatics. His last position was a Group Accountant in the commercial sector before establishing his own firm and commencing practice in 1985 as corporate consultants, financial planner and company secretaries.

Mike has now returned to his initial interest in training and desire to impart his knowledge and experience to others. At Arrow Training he manages client relationships and periodically designs and delivers financial skills program modules for in-house clients as well as programs for the public at large.

Mike is a fellow member of the Association of International Accountants, United Kingdom; National Institute of Accountants, Australia; and Malaysian Association of Company Secretaries. He is also a member of the Malaysian National Computer Confederation and a Certified Financial Planner. 


Winson Han
CA (M) B Com (NMIT) CA (NZ)

Mr. Han is a Chartered Accountant by profession and has over 20 years of experience having served in various roles as practicing accountant, company secretary, financial controller and management accountant.

He has facilitated many public and in-house seminars in financial analysis, financial planning & budgeting, cost control /reduction for clients like Sime Darby, TNB, TM, RHB Bank, MIA, CIMA, etc over the years. He is also the principal facilitator for “Financial Analysis and Valuation”, a core paper for a post graduate diploma in applied finance and investment awarded by FINSIA, Australia.

He is now the managing consultant of Arrow Consulting Team Sdn Bhd, a company that specializes in assisting the small and medium enterprises in bringing about improvement in its business processes and profitability. Controlling and reducing cost is an integral part of the business process.

Mr. Han holds a degree in commerce from New Zealand and is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants, Malaysian Institute of Accountants and Malaysian Association of Company Secretaries.
