Dr. Steven Liew


Dr Steven Liew is a fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK and is a Chartered Accountant by profession. He has a Asia Pacific Executive MBA (for senior executives) from the National University of Singapore and a PhD in international finance with Rushmore University of USA.

Dr Liew had worked in private sector companies, ranging from family-run businesses to multi-national corporations in South Asia and the ASEAN region. He has accumulated more than 23 years working experience in senior financial & operational management positions spearheading the profitability and growth of companies.

Dr  Liew had conducted various seminars for corporate clientele including Association of Credit Management Malaysia, CIMA, MIM, MIA, IBBM, Nestle, IQPC Worldwide , Singapore, Proton Edar Malaysia, Brunei Investment Agency, SMIDEC, Ministry of Development, Brunei, BICPA Asean Management, Brunei,   International Paint;  RISDA,  Sales & Marketing Training  Forum, Sri Lanka .

He is currently providing management consultancy and training specialising in credit management & loan recovery. Dr Liew also teaches courses in strategy, business and finance.

Danniel Lim

Gerard R Sankar


Gerard holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a Diploma in HR Management.  He also attended GE’s Human Resource Program for Asia Pacific in Beijing in 1994 and is a Certified PSMB Trainer.

In his 28 years as a Human Resource and Industrial Relations Practitioner, Gerard  served at various times in major multinational and locally incorporated manufacturing companies in Johor.  From 1994 – 2006, he was the Human Resource/Administration Manager of a multinational company in Johor Bahru and after that formed Gerard & Associates Sdn. Bhd., a Human Resource/Industrial Relations Consulting and Training Company.

His experience covers the entire spectrum of Human Resource, Industrial Relations and Administration Management.  He has also successfully represented various companies in labor and industrial relations arbitration as well as leading the management team in Collective Bargaining negotiations.

Gerard currently consults for multinational and local organizations. They include companies listed in the Malaysia and Singapore Stock Exchange.  Participants at his training programs have included employees from major manufacturing companies e.g Flextronics, VS Industry and Felda Oil Products. Others include organizations like Starbucks Coffee, Bonia, Seri Malaysia Hotel (Genting Highlands), Landmarks, MCSB Systems (Penang) and The Malaysian Medical Association.

Since 1991, Gerard has served as an elected Committee Member of the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) Johor, and a Vice-Chairman since 1997.  He has been elected successively as the Southern Region Chairman of the Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF) since 1997 and sits in the MEF Industrial Relations Panel.
He serves as a Panel Member (Employer) of the Industrial Court of Malaysia (third term), and as an Assessor in the Appellate Board of SOCSO (second term).

Dr Johnny Ng


Johnny Ng has a doctorate in Quality Management, and holds professional membership of the American Society for Quality, and American Institute of Management and is a certified Six Sigma Trainer (Black Belt). He has more than 20 years experience in the field of management, quality, manufacturing and marketing at senior management and board level.

KC Chew

CA (M) CPA (Aust) ATII

Mr. Chew is a Section 153 license holder. He has been in practice for more than 10 years, besides running his own practice, he also provide tax consultancy services to 4 accounting firms in the Klang Valley whose clients including listed companies on Bursa Malaysia. The clients are mainly cross sectional SME organizations but also include MNCs with OHQ status. He regularly advises clients on Malaysian taxation requirements and procedures as well as management issues.

Mr Chew has been facilitating seminars / workshops in taxation for corporate clients and as well as public programme.

M Jeyabalan

M. Jeyabalan served as an officer in the Trade Finance Department, in a leading commercial bank for almost 20 years, during which period he acquired an in-depth and extensive knowledge of import/export documentation. In addition to advising many companies on the preparation of documents relating to trade finance he was also involved in training employees of the bank in the management of Letters of Credit and other such documentation. He has on several occasions been called to the High Courts in Malaysia to give evidence on matters relating to disputes on Letters of Credit transactions.

In 1993 he left the services of the bank and was actively involved in advising various trading houses in Hong Kong on trade documentation.
He is currently a freelance and advises several companies on management of Letters of Credit transactions, trade finance and other related matters, in addition to providing training.

Tan Peng Sam

Mr Tan Peng Sam, a Chartered Accountant has more 30 years of experience in the commercial sector and public practice.

His early work experiences with Coopers and Lybrand, and Goonting & Chew both professional firms of Chartered Accountants in public practice. In the commercial sector he was the Branch Accountant with the Inchcape Bhd Group taking charge of nine Borneo Motor branches.

His last position in the commercial sector was that of a chief financial officer with a company that engages in water and water treatment with operation in Malaysia, Singapore, China and Australia.

In 1981, he started his own professional firm and practice as an Approved Company Auditor and Liquidator. His work experience includes auditing and assurance, taxation, business mergers and acquisitions, corporate advisory services, management consulting, insolvency and assets protection planning. His passion is to share his experiences and offers training to his clients on taxation, risk management, business mergers and acquisitions and assets protection planning.

Mr Tan is a fellow member of ACCA (UK) and a member of Malaysia Institute of Accountants.

Winson Han

Mr. Han is a Chartered Accountant by profession and has over 20 years of experience having served in various roles as practicing accountant, company secretary, financial controller and management accountant.

He has facilitated many public and in-house seminars in financial analysis, financial planning & budgeting, cost control /reduction for clients like Sime Darby, TNB, TM, RHB Bank, MIA, CIMA, etc over the years. He is also the principal facilitator for “Financial Analysis and Valuation”, a core paper for a post graduate diploma in applied finance and investment awarded by FINSIA, Australia.

He is now the managing consultant of Arrow Consulting Team Sdn Bhd, a company that specializes in assisting the small and medium enterprises in bringing about improvement in its business processes and profitability. Controlling and reducing cost is an integral part of the business process.

Mr. Han holds a degree in commerce from New Zealand and is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants, Malaysian Institute of Accountants and Malaysian Association of Company Secretaries.

Gordon Reid

Gordon Reid is a former British diplomat with over 25 years’ experience working in a wide range of positions, countries and cultures.  He has lived and worked in Malaysia since 2003.  His most recent post, as Director of Trade & Investment at the British High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, involved extensive public relations responsibilities – including regular speeches and presentations to a wide range of audiences.

Since leaving the Diplomatic Service, Gordon has applied his professional experience to English language teaching and management and soft skills training.  A CELTA and TESOL trained teacher, Gordon has delivered a range of courses from general, business and specialist English to presentation and public speaking, to communication, motivation and negotiation.  Among the companies Gordon has trained are Ambank, Tractors Malaysia/Sime Darby, Aker Kvaerner, Alstom, Alliance Bank, Siemens, Sunway and the KLCC Convention Centre.

J Selvarajah

Mr Selvaraj is a practising accountant with 35 years of experience and has spent considerable time in auditing and assurance, internal audit and risk management, taxation and corporate secretarial services. He is presently a Partner of The Omar Arif group practice which comprises of 3 medium sized long established firms of chartered accountants in Kuala Lumpur.

His wide range of experience includes corporate restructuring, cross border tax issues, including setting up of tax effective companies in Labuan and Hong Kong, corporate financing, conducting corporate governance and risk management training for an established medical centre, hospital and school of nursing, a resort and an educational institution.  He has been instrumental in setting up standard operating and control procedures and risk management for a long and well established 5-star Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

He is also actively involved with several Audit Committees of public listed companies on Bursa Malaysia in advising on Corporate Governance and carrying out their Internal Audit functions.

Mike KM Ng


Mike K M Ng, PJK has been engaged in the financial and corporate sector for more than 33 years. During these years, he has accumulated extensive experience and skill sets in management accounting, financial planning, assets protection planning, corporate consulting, internal audit, company secretarial practice, taxation, credit control and risk management implementation for all levels of organizations.

His initial involvement in training commenced as early as 1975 when he was lecturing in curriculum for working adults in the educational institutions viz. Goon Institute, Goon Computer & Management Studies Center and Informatics Computer Center. His last position was as Group Accountant in the commercial sector and has led investigations into a number of fraud activities.He started his own firm and commencing practice in 1985 as corporate consultants, financial planner, assets protection planner and company secretaries.

Mike Ng has now returned to his initial interest in training and desire to impart his knowledge and experience to others. In 1997 he was conferred the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK) Award by His Royal Highness, The Sultan of Selangor in recognition of his contribution towards community and social works in Selangor.

Mike Ng is a fellow member of the Association of International Accountants, United Kingdom; Institute of Public Accountants, Australia; and Malaysian Association of Company Secretaries. He is also a PSMB Certified Trainer and a Certified Financial Planner.

Marinella Reid

Marinella Reid, B.A. is a highly experienced CELTA trained English teacher and qualified IELTS examiner.She also has a specialised business English teaching qualification (FCTBE). Marinella has been teaching English for nearly 20 years, in a variety of countries.

Nancy Ong

Nancy Ong is a certified trainer by Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (PSMB). She holds an MBA from the University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom, having initially qualified as a banker from the Chartered Institute of Bankers, United Kingdom. She is also a qualified teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), awarded by Teach International, Australia.

She specializes in programmes on Foreign Currency Management in International Trade; Credit Management; Trade Financing; Developing Business Plans; Business Writing and Communication; Presentation Skills; and Customer Relationship Management. Nancy also Facilitated in MSC-Start Your Own Business Programme for ICT Graduates from 2004-2006. A total of 8 workshops with 20 participants per workshop were ran by MSC and Nancy facilitated the core module on Developing A Business Plan.

T. Seelan

Mr. T. SEELAN C.A (M) FCCA specialises in designing and setting up of accounting, internal control and operational systems as well as in performing operational audits. His clients include those in the hospitality, education, manufacturing and service-based industries.

His working experience includes years at several public accounting firms, a leading hotel in Langkawi and an established manufacturing organisation. He was also attached to a large tax firm for three years. He also acts as a consultant for a number of groups on financial issues.

Mr. T. Seelan also actively involved in the development and implementation of financial and management training programs for various organization in the private and public sector. He has trained accountants and financial advisors in  Brunei, Vietnam, East Africa and Malaysia for accountants. These programs have produced excellent feedback. He has been actively involved in accountancy courses as a lecture, specializing in taxation, audit and accounting for the last 15 years.
